Nov 23, 2018 12:34 pm
Hope everyone is having a fine Thanksgiving Weekend! We have increased our daylily seeds on our website which has tripled the selection. Some crosses are limited to only 2 left. Worldwide shipping. Make sure to email us with any questions you may have. We will be adding about 50 to 75 more listings in the daylily seed section after we determine which seeds we will be growing in 2019.
We have over 11k seeds harvested this season, so there are plenty of good crosses to share. 99% of our daylilies have been introduced after the year 2000. Nobody on the internet has more daylily seeds that are this newly introduced in the world!!! Thanks for stopping by, make sure to check us out on Facebook and leave us a Like! We also tweet and have an instagram if you are interested in up to the minute updates.

In the past 10 years there have been some remarkable breakthroughs in daylilies growing extra tissue and the daylily has been showing off. There are different names and categories that they go by. The AHS has defined certain groups in the “Sculpted” daylily arena and specifically catagorize them into 3 groups. Here is the link to that page (https://www.daylilies.org/ahs_dictionary/sculpted.html)
|A term used to describe three-dimensional structural features involving or emanating from the throat, midrib or elsewhere on the petal surfaces. Sculpted forms belong to one of three different groups: Pleated, Cristate and Relief.|
Nonetheless, this is an exciting time to be breeding or cross-pollinating daylilies! Hybridizing efforts can be time consuming and teaches one patience. This is why Spring is so much fun!!! Spring is when we look forward to see our seedlings bloom for the very first time. This makes our gardens the most unique places on Earth. Nobody else in the world will see what you see, for the first time, in the Spring!!

Daylily Shipping Ending for 2018
Nov 7, 2018 4:07 pm
After tomorrow night the temps will be flirting with freezing at night for the next 10 days and doesn’t look like it will rebound until Spring 🙁
Being in northern Ohio our USDA Zone has changed to 6A but winter and cold come quickly. If you are ordering plants from our Eustace Daylily Farm you probably will not receive them until Spring shipping time in April 2019. That date has not been made yet as we will assess the weather when that time approaches.
Our Seeds are able to be shipped year round!

Why hello friends,
We just submitted 12 Tetraploid named Daylilies to the American Hemerocallis Society Board for approval. We are awaiting “official” word on the names. So here is a list of what you can expect in Spring 2019, pending a few names that may have to be changed with our secondary name. Hope you can appreciate the beauty of these NEW! Cultivars. God has blessed us with some really great seedlings in the past. We also have unbloomed seedlings on our website for those who want to get them on the cheap before they bloom and before we register them!!! Haha…
One more note, we will have a few up on The Lily Auction for a discounted bidding war! A few are only available in our collection and the Eustace Daylily Collection for 2019 is marked down 950.00 dollars when you purchase it now. Thanks for looking and we hope to see you next Spring!
Happy Labor Day! – update
Sept 3, 2018 10:34 am
Seed pods are opening like crazy and the weather has been very warm and humid. September feels like the New August! We have many seed auctions going up on the Lily Auction along with some seedlings (that are huge this year) Unbloomed. A time to get some exceptional crosses on the cheap compared to paying full price on an introduction. Also, will have some daylily plants going up but mostly seeds and unbloomed seedlings this Fall.
Study on Ripsaw daylily
August 28, 2018 8:49 pm
|Rip Saw (Hansen-D., 2012)
height 46 in.(117 cm), bloom 9 in.(23 cm), season E, Rebloom, Evergreen, Tetraploid, 24 buds, 5 branches, Narrow lavender with large shark’s teeth on all segments, triangular yellow to green throat. (unknown × unknown)
The pollen is fertile and pods do set on this even though Dan has had no luck, it likes UFO variety. We have only had 2 pods set on this one over the past 3 years that were TET and it was After The Bite from James Gossard. On the same day with the same pollen? Most of the Tet crosses onto this one will dry up and not take. However, we have been using Diploid pollen and it takes better to that source. Pods are still very hard to get to complete through the cycle many times drying up and not being viable. It is a very interesting plant though. We plan on trying some bearded Dips with it next year.
Could we be looking at a Diploid here with Teeth…
hmm??? After all, the parentage listed is Unknown X Unknown

April 4th, 2016 – (late snow storm) New Greenhouse with tons of space for Seedlings!!! We built a 30′ x 16′ greenhouse and plan to fill it with new daylily seedlings. We should have extras for you to purchase soon!
Rows and rows of daylily seedlings that we sprouted using hydrogen peroxide, water and perlite. Very high germination rate 98% when using this method. We have several videos on how its done.
Stella D’oro daylily clumps we separated in March.
April 7th, 2016 – Premium daylily seedlings that we sell will be no smaller than this sharpie marker at the crown. They are considered Small Seedlings. This seedling is 8-12 months old and is in a one gallon pot that is just emerging from dormancy! The more room the roots have in a pot the faster the seedling seems to grow. The roots like to dig deep and as they do so the leaves seem to duplicate the growth above. I have noticed when keeping my seedlings in say a 50 count tray compared to a 1 gallon container they stay much smaller. Seedling size can vary tremendously. I studied very closely this year and from my estimations the 1 gallon pot allows a seedling to double the size of a seedling in a 50 count tray in as little as 60 days.
August 1st, 2016 – Here is an example of a daylily seedling that will bloom next Spring. This picture was taken at the End of July 2016. We fully expect it to bloom next May-July here in Ohio.
